The developer behind Falmouth's Eve Parc site has handed over 12 properties to a local housing association, in a bid to help alleviate housing need in the town.
Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon marked the transfer to Coastline Housing on-site.
They were joined by Cornwall Council’s portfolio holder for planning, Councillor Sarah Preece.
All of the houses will be for shared ownership, with a further two units to be transferred in June.
The properties are part of the fourth phase of the development. When planning consent was awarded, it also triggered financial contributions from Persimmon worth more than £200,000, which must be spent in ways that benefit healthcare, education, transport, public open space, and public rights of way in the area, as well as the Fal and Helford special area of conservation.
When completed, the site will have seen more than 300 new homes built, with three and four-bed homes currently on sale from £319,995.

Coastline Housing is an independent charitable housing association owning and managing more than 5,500 homes in Cornwall.
It has committed to building around 300 new affordable homes each year up to 2030, working alongside its partners, to help families and individuals struggling with housing.
