A ROAD on the Lizard Peninsula is set to close temporarily for cabling work.

Cornwall Council has announced the planned closure of the road through Helford, between grid reference SW75913 26042 and the junction with the hamlet of Treath.

The closure will be in effect from June 29 to June 30, between 9am and 6pm.

The council has stated the closure is necessary for cabling works.

The works will only affect weekdays, meaning the road will remain open on weekends.
