A person has been left in a serious condition following an accident involving a car and a parked van near the site of the Morvala music festival this morning.
Emergency services were called to Military Road at around 8.10am on Monday, June 29, after the crash was reported.
Police said the incident involved a car and a stationary van, with one person sustaining serious injuries. Ambulance crews and other emergency responders remain at the scene.
Military Road remains closed in both directions between Donkey Lane and Cliff Lane, with queueing traffic reported in the area, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
Nearby Millbrook Road is also affected, and motorists are being urged to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.
Organisers of the nearby Morval Festival, which took place over the weekend, have issued a travel update in response to the incident, warning of disruption around the site.
In a statement, the Morval team said both Millbrook Road and Military Road are currently closed due to the crash. Those already on site have been asked to remain there where possible, while anyone planning to travel to the area is being advised to delay their journey until further notice.

Although the festival has now finished, organisers said the site will remain open, with access to toilets and drinking water available for those affected by the closures.
Morval Festival, held near Millbrook, attracts visitors from across Cornwall and beyond, and the surrounding roads can remain busy as attendees leave the site following the event.
Police have not yet released further details about those involved in the collision.
