A series of road closures in Falmouth are set to begin for HV cable works.

Cornwall Council has announced a temporary order to prohibit traffic on certain roads in Falmouth from July 14 to August 20.

The affected roads will be closed 24 hours a day, including weekends.

The closures cover The Beacon between grid reference SW80394 33077 and the junction of Five Fields Lane, Five Fields Lane in its entirety, the road to the rear of 43 to 87 Trevethan Road and 73 to 84 The Beacon between the junctions of Five Fields Lane and Trevethan Road, and the road from Erisey Terrace to Trevethan Road between the junction of Trevethan Road and grid reference SW80505 32964.

The County of Cornwall (Five Fields Lane, Road To Rear Of 43 To 87 Trevethan Road And 73 To 84 The Beacon, Road From Erisey Terrace To Trevethan Road, Falmouth) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 was made on June 29.

An alternative route for vehicles will be signposted on site.

Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained throughout the closure period.
