A Chacewater byway is set to close for a day for gas works.

Cornwall Council will temporarily prohibit traffic on Byway 63 from Monday, August 3, between 7.30 am and 6 pm.

The closure is necessary for gas works to be carried out.

The affected area runs from grid reference SW74276 4451 O to the junction of Wheal Busy Lane.

An alternative route will be marked at the site.

The order was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and was dated July 20.

The closure will only affect weekdays and is only expected to last one day.
