Falmouth School’s Sixth Form celebrating strong A Level results

The cohort’s achievements reflect the breadth of opportunities on offer at the Sixth Form, where students combine traditional A Levels with specialist Level 3 Diplomas in subjects including sport and musical theatre.

School leaders say there have been a number of notable individual successes, with leavers securing places on a wide range of courses and training programmes as well as moving into work and taking gap years.

The school is particularly proud of the hard work and resilience shown by this year’s students, who staff say have embraced the demands of post-16 study and contributed to the continued growth of the VI Form.

Headteacher Joanne Guest said the results represented the culmination of years of effort by students, staff and families.

"We are incredibly proud of our VI Form students and what they have achieved in their A Level or Level 3 courses," she said.

"Behind every result is a young person who has worked hard, shown determination and grown enormously during their time with us.

"Today is about celebrating them.

"A huge thank you must go to our dedicated staff, who have worked tirelessly to support, encourage and champion our young people throughout their time at Falmouth School.

"I would also like to thank our families for the invaluable support and encouragement they have given along the way.

"What a wonderful community of support we have around our young people, helping them to thrive."

Ms Guest said the next steps for students would be "incredibly exciting", whether they were heading to university, starting degree apprenticeships, going into employment or travelling.

"My staff and I cannot wait to hear about their adventures and, no doubt, their continued successes," she added.

"We wish every one of them the very best for whatever comes next."
