Draught pints are now being served once again in 'Falmouth’s largest beer garden' following a successful licensing application.

Fives Cyderhouse can now offer the full "Fives experience" outdoors after Cornwall Council’s licensing sub-committee approved changes to its premises licence.

The decision allows the venue to play background recorded music in its beer garden.

Laura Clerehugh, head of hospitality at Healeys Cyder, said: "We're delighted that customers can once again enjoy the full Fives experience in our gardens.

"September is a wonderful time of year in Cornwall – we often enjoy beautiful weather, Falmouth still has a fantastic atmosphere, and there's so much to see and do without the height-of-summer rush.

"With draught drinks available in the beer garden, a new food menu now launched and plenty of cold drinks waiting at the bar, it's the perfect time to come along and see us."

Fives has also launched a refreshed food menu, including three sizes of hand-stretched pizzas made with organic Shipton Mill flours and topped with Cornish ingredients.

The beer garden, located opposite the National Maritime Museum, is arranged over two levels and includes a recently added decking area.

Jon Newton, general manager at Fives Cyderhouse, said: "It's great to be able to make full use of our outside areas again.

"There's nothing better than sipping an ice-cold beer or cocktail in the Cornish sunshine while catching up with friends and family, and we're delighted to be able to offer that complete experience once more.

"The past few months have been challenging for the business, particularly during such a warm summer, but the team at Fives has dealt with everything remarkably well.

"We're delighted with the outcome and can't wait to see what the next few months bring.

"We'd also like to thank all our regulars for their ongoing support – it really does mean a lot to us."
