A chef’s table experience is bringing together some of the UK’s top culinary talent for an exclusive weekend of food and hospitality in Cornwall.
The Idle Rocks in St Mawes, Cornwall, will host the Autumn Chef Series in October and November, featuring Guy Owen and guest chefs from acclaimed restaurants including Sexy Fish, HIDE, and Coworth Park.
The series promises three immersive chef-led evenings combining refined technique, creative flair, and expert wine pairings in a relaxed coastal setting.
The Chef’s Table Weekend, designed for those seeking a deeper connection to the event, offers guests rare behind-the-scenes access to the chefs’ creative process.
The two-night package includes a Champagne and canapés reception, a supplier-led tasting, and an opportunity to engage directly with Guy Owen and the guest chefs.
Guests will enjoy two nights’ accommodation in a sea-view room, a Friday seafood tasting menu, daily breakfast, and early check-in with late check-out, subject to availability.
The first weekend, from October 16 to 18, features Mattia Ricci of Sexy Fish London, known for his bold, Japanese-inspired cuisine.
Ricci's menu will showcase contemporary technique and striking flavours, drawing on his experience in some of London’s most prestigious kitchens.
The second event, from November 6 to 8, will be hosted by Matthew Mawtus, general manager of Michelin-starred HIDE.
Owen will create a menu paired with standout vintages from 2007 and 2008, curated by Mawtus, who is known for his narrative-driven approach to wine pairing.
The final weekend, from November 27 to 29, will feature Adam Smith of Woven at Coworth Park.
Smith is recognised for his refined, produce-led style that blends classical technique with contemporary British cuisine.
The weekend begins with a Champagne and canapés reception and a tasting menu at the Reef Knot Restaurant.
Day two includes a supplier-led tasting and the Autumn Chef Series Dinner, complete with a wine flight.
Guests depart after a leisurely breakfast overlooking the harbour.
