Castle Beach Café in Falmouth is appealing for donations to help provide Christmas food parcels to people struggling financially.
The café runs its annual ‘Christmas in a Bag’ scheme, collecting food, toiletries and money to make up festive parcels for people in the community who are finding it difficult to afford essentials.
Each bag costs around £20 and contains items including mince pies, stuffing mix and gravy, Christmas pudding, chocolates and sweets, cranberry sauce, hot chocolate, crisps and crackers, shower gel and menstrual products.
Last year, 25 bags were handed out, with surplus money and items donated to Penryn Food Bank.

The café is accepting donations of cash or suitable items and is also looking for volunteers to deliver parcels to people unable to collect them.
Anyone who needs a free food parcel, or knows someone who does, can approach the café at the serving counter or use the side door for greater discretion.
The café says no intrusive questions will be asked and people will not need to prove that they need help.
