A Falmouth woman who threatened to “slit" people's throats and watch them bleed whilst brandishing a four inch knife has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Kamm Mctique, of Tregullow Road, Falmouth, appeared before Truro magistrates for sentencing on October 28 after the “scary” incident in the town on July 3, 2025.
The 47-year-old admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence.
Magistrates were told that Mctique threatened members of the public while in possession of a knife, including making threats to slit their throats, watch them bleed to death saying "I'll get the knife and I will stab you" brandishing the four inch blade.
The court described the incident as "violent and scary" and said the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
Mctique was also convicted of possessing a bladed article in a public place after being found with a four-inch knife in Killigrew Street, Falmouth.
She received a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, for the knife offence.
A two-month suspended sentence imposed for the public order offence is to run concurrently.
As part of the sentence, Mctique must abstain from alcohol for 120 days, with monitoring in place until February 24, 2027.

She was also ordered to undertake six months of non-residential drug rehabilitation under the direction of We Are With You and comply with probation requirements.
The knife was forfeited and Mctique was deprived of her rights to it.
She was also convicted of possessing cocaine at Camborne Police Station on July 3, 2025.
No separate penalty was imposed for that offence and the drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
Mctique must pay £85 prosecution costs and a £187 victim surcharge, at £40 a month.
Her guilty pleas were taken into account by the court.
