A girl had to be airlifted to hospital after she was kicked by her horse just outside Redruth on Friday evening.
The girl is thought to have been walking alongside the horse when she was kicked, near to the recently renovated Wheal Peevor Mine site at around 7.30pm.
The teenager was conscious and talking to an ambulance crew while she was placed onto a stretcher in the remote country lane, before being winched into a search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose hovering overhead.
She was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro and her current condition is not known.
