Argentina got off to a winning start in thier World Cup campaign with a 1-0 win over Nigeria.
A sixth-minute goal from Gabriel Hienze put them in front. The former Mancherster United defender got the winning goal as he arrived unmarked to head the ball into the top corner of Nigeria's goal.
Argentina had plenty more chances to extend their lead with Lionel Messi forcing Nigeria's keeper Vincent Enyeama to produce a number of top saves.
Argentina pushed forward in search of second late on and almost got caught on the break with Kala Uche missing the best chance for Nigeria, firing a left-foot shot over the bar from 10 yards out with eight minutes left
