A garden party was held in the vicarage gardens on Saturday and to date £853.33 has been raised for church funds.
Canon John Harris was the celebrant and preacher at the parish mass for the second Sunday after Trinity. The first reading, taken from the book of Samuel, was read by John Hodge and the second reading, taken from Galatians, was read by Norton Clothier. Fr John proclaimed the gospel according to Luke and the prayers of intercession were led by Father Christopher Firth. Chalice assistants were John Hodge and Father Christopher and organist was Daniel Shermon.
Evensong took place at 6pm.
Events this week: Wednesday, The Tapestry group meets in church at 2pm; Holy Communion is celebrated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8am, Wednesday at 9.15am and Friday at 12.15pm; Sunday: 8am Low Mass, 10am Parish Mass with Holy Baptism, 6pm Evensong (said).
