The Angel Hotel in Helston will soon be opening its doors again after being snapped up by a couple who own similar businesses in Cornwall.
Mike and Marilyn Bows, specialise in good old-fashioned coaching inns and hotels, and already run the successful White Hart in Hayle and the Union Hotel in Penzance, and recently bought the hotel from Enterprise Inns.
Due to the licence not being passed on by the previous owner they have had to reapply, and while no opening date has been set, this normally takes 28 days.
Notices have recently gone up at the hotel stating that they are applying for the licence.
Mike said: "It will be different, I think the previous person had run it as a bit of a rock and roll place. That is not what we do. "
He added he was looking forward to welcoming customers back into the hotel.
