A wonderful time was had by all who came to see ‘Living Hope’ Teen Challenge girl’s team at church on Sunday evening.

The nine girls who sang so beautifully also told of how their lives had changed, having broken free from years of addictions of different sorts, totalling over 100 years between them all. The church was packed full of friends from Porthleven and beyond who were inspired and moved by the life stories they heard.

Teen Challenge is an organisation which has been active in the UK for 26 years, helping hurting people, and those with life controlling problems in particular, and the girls were all graduates of a Christian Rehabilitation Programme, at Hope House, Gorslas, South Wales, directed by Fiona Fallon.

The multi-media clips thy showed were very inspiring and informative about the drug problem in the UK and the way Teen Challenge is working in many towns and cities to help people and give them hope. For more information see their website www.teenchallenge.org.uk.

For some of the girls it was their first visit to Cornwall, and so they also enjoyed Cornish Pasties and Cream Tea and a lovely evening walk around Porthleven, and along the beach, and hope to visit again soon.

A special thank you to all those who helped make the trip such a success.
