Members of Falmouth library can download the audio version of an award-winning book for free online.

The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver, winner of the Orange prize for fiction, is available from the Cornwall Council website.

Cornwall library services manager Pam Martindale said: “In the past libraries have had long waiting lists for prize winning novels because of the costs involved in obtaining enough copies to meet the demand. With this new download service from there are no limits on the number of copies used so all our members could listen to the book today without having to wait for someone else to finish it.”
