Graffiti has become a regular problem in Helston with spots around the town becoming a regular target for vandals, according to town warden Craig Bowcutt.
In his report to the town council Mr Bowcutt said that public seating areas and public toilets around the town centre have been frequent targets.
“On one occasion it was very offensive and was dealt with immediately by Cornwall Council,” he said. “Unfortunately within a day it had been re-targeted and is waiting repainting again.”
He added that the council’s toilet cleaner was reporting graffiti in the Guildhall and Trengrouse Way toilets on a regualr basis.
“Some of the council’s benches and picnic tables have also been targeted during this period, with those in the Sunken Garden in the most need of urgent attention.”
