People from all over Cornwall have been recognised in the new year's honours list including Cornish author E V Thompson.

Other recipients include Brian Toney who gets an MBE for his services to the community of Gweek and William Mann, a headteacher in Penzance for 25 years, who gets an OBE for services to education.
