Falmouth Spring Flower Show has released details for next year’s event so that exhibitors have time to prepare their entries.
In particular the show is appealing for children aged 11 years and under to enter a competition to design a publicity poster for the show, which takes place at the Princess Pavilion on March 23 and 24 next year.
The deadline for poster entries is November 1 this year. Show secretary Karin Shipman has written a letter to all primary schools in the area, encouraging pupils to enter the competition.
It is also open to youth clubs and after school clubs. The poster needs to be A3 size and if possible have the words “Falmouth Spring Flower Show” somewhere in the design – although the committee recognises this might be difficult for younger children, so these can be added by computer at a later stage.
There will be a cash prize for the winner, donated by chairman Ron Scamp. For the full schedule call Karin on 01326 318386.
