A meeting is being held in Penzance next week to organise opposition to government cuts.
Run by the Penwith Anti-Cuts Alliance, it will take place at the Lugger Hotel on Tuesday, September 25, at 7.30pm.
An alliance spokesperson said: “It is a public meeting for everyone opposed to all the unnecessary cuts, privatisations and job losses we are suffering from. We will discuss the scale of the attacks we face and what we can do to prevent them. We will hear from local trade unionists, a local councillor as well as a Penwith Anti-Cuts Alliance speaker.
“There will also be plenty of time for members of the public to have their say.
“We will be urging everyone to go on the demonstration in London on Saturday, October 20, too. There will be coaches going from Cornwall."
