A Falmouth-based clothing company has produced a new shirt in aid of a charity for deep sea fishermen.

Seasalt has vowed to donate £5 to the Fishermen’s Mission for each of the exclusive Breton-striped Sailor Shirts sold.

Owner Neil Chadwick said: “Raising awareness of charities close to our heart is a big piece of Seasalt.

“The Fishermen’s Mission provides greatly needed support and care to our coastline’s wonderful fishermen.”

Regional fundraising manager for the Fishermen’s Mission, Gina Moore, said: “Seasalt’s support for our welfare and caring work amongst our fishing families here in Cornwall is hugely appreciated and valued.

“Their understanding of the charitable work we do and their amazing fundraising will enable us to support sick and injured fishermen, their families, the widows and children of fishermen lost at sea, and to maintain our welfare centre at Newlyn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”

The Fishermen’s Mission charity Sailor Shirt is available at all of Seasalt’s 14 shops and online at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk.
