Coodes Solicitors has established a new residential property team in Falmouth. Lisa Brewer and Laura Rowe have both moved to Coodes’ new Falmouth office, following the firm’s recent merger with Preston Goldburn.

Lisa moved to Falmouth when she was 19 and has long-standing family connections with the town. She joined Coodes two years ago and, having worked in a number of the firm’s offices, brings experience from across Cornwall. Lisa, who is in the process of moving back to Falmouth with her family, said: “Falmouth is a town that I know and love, so it’s fantastic to be working here. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the estate agents and being part of the local community.”

Laura has been based in Coodes’ Truro office for just over a year and has previous experience of conveyancing in Falmouth. She said: “The property market is very busy in Falmouth and the higher number of students and first time buyers means there is a high number of leasehold properties and buy-to-lets. It is going to be a very exciting few months as we grow our work in and around Falmouth.”

Coodes partner and head of residential property Alistair Whyte said: “We are delighted to be investing in Falmouth with two of our established team members. While Falmouth is a thriving town that offers great opportunities for us, our ambition is to grow Coodes’ conveyancing business across the wider area, including the Lizard.

“Laura and Lisa have the talent, attitude and local knowledge to succeed as we grow our work in and around Falmouth and they will be supported by our expert team across Cornwall and Devon. This means we can offer expertise in specialist areas, including buy-to-lets, new builds and affordables as well as high value properties.”
