Mylor Sailing School has received more good news following its gold Cornwall Tourism Award in November.

The school’s owner, Tracey Boyne, has just found out that it has been selected as one of the finalists in the access and inclusivity category of this year’s South West Tourism Excellence Awards - the region’s premier tourism awards event.

In addition, the awards panel has selected the school to represent the region in the national VisitEngland awards.

Tracey said: “I have been told that there were 645 entries to consider, so we know just how much we’ve achieved, especially in England’s top tourism region, to get to the top three. We’ll have our fingers crossed at the South West Tourism Awards ceremony in Torquay on 1 February, but it’s fantastic to know that we have a bronze, silver or gold award in the bag.

“We’ll be working hard on our application for the VisitEngland awards in April too. It would be amazing to win for the south west.”
