Truro College Art and Design Students celebrate ten years of outstanding creative talents with a new exhibition entitled TENTh.

Held in a marquee on Truro's Lemon Quay Piazza, the collection of work by artists and designers of tomorrow takes pride of place from May 19 to 23.

This annual event promises to illuminate the Piazza with a stunning array of talent from students of both full-time and part-time, further and higher education courses, representing all art disciplines and creative scope offered at the college: from Textiles to Graphics, Silversmithing and Jewellery to Fine Art and Ceramics to Life Drawing.

Mark Dunford, Deputy Team Leader for Art & Design, said: "“The aim of TENTh is to celebrate ten years of outstanding art and design produced by Truro College and ten years of exhibiting in Truro.

“The large white marquee provides a highly visible temporary gallery, right in the heart of our community; giving everyone a unique insight and opportunity to enjoy the highly creative and individual work made by the college’s students. An exhibition of this kind can have a dramatic impact upon students’ future careers within the creative industries”.

For the event students have produced a set of postcards of their work that can be taken with a donation to St Julia’s Hospice, the third year the team have donated to this charity.

TENTh is open to the public from 9am to 6pm on Tuesday 19 to Friday, May 22, and 9am to 3pm on Saturday, May 23. Admission is free.
