Last year, Cornwall’s Eden Project won the Best Regional Initiative award at the Springboard Charity’s Awards for Excellence. There’s now less than one month until the deadline for individuals, organisations and initiatives to enter the acclaimed Awards for 2016.

The awards are seeking further entries from the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry to celebrate the inspiring individuals and finest initiatives who have raised the sector’s profile. Last year’s winners included River Cottage, Premier Inn and Diageo.

Karen Connell, who judged the 2015 Awards for Excellence, said: “The Eden Project apprenticeship was an excellent submission. The solutions had clear results and fit with the whole ethos of the Eden Project. We felt this was a fantastic business model which could be replicated around the country.”

Anne Pierce, Springboard’s CEO, added: “The Springboard Awards for Excellence distinguish the best endeavours and contributions to the industry in the last year. The awards recognise the achievements of organisations, such as the successful Eden Project. Winning an award has a significant and positive impact on both businesses and employees alike, and we want more hospitality businesses to enter our 2016 awards.”

Closing date for entries is Friday, September 9, with the winners announced at an awards evening on November 24, at Novotel London West. To enter, visit
