A FEW months back, I wrote about the lack of police data coming from Devon and Cornwall Police and why it was important this made available.
Well, this Skipper is now growing increasingly concerned about the missing crime data and is making an appeal to the public.
Police crime data was last seen in November 2022 when Devon and Cornwall Police moved to a new system. Crime and stop and search data has not been provided since.
The data is believed to be stored in whatever system D&C Police moved to and members of the public are advised to contact this Skipper if it is found.
The data is described as being in a downloadable ZIP file, which opens in Microsoft Excell, and contains the locations, crime types, and sometimes outcomes, of crimes reported to Devon and Cornwall Police.
Whilst the data is not armed or dangerous, members of the public are advised by this Skipper not to approach it, as it would most likely mean trespassing on police property.
If you or someone you know has come in to contact with the missing police data, contact the Falmouth Packet Skipper referencing log number: WHE7E-1S-1T
