CLASSIC boatbuilder Cockwells are moving out of their current home in Mylor Bridge to Ponsharden to allow its transformation into a purpose-built, low environmental impact HQ.

Works will start in the new year on the outdated collection of sheds at Mylor Creek Boatyard and be completed before the end of 2018.

During this period, the company will temporarily relocate all of its operations to Vospers of Falmouth at Ponsharden.

The company has already transferred most of its production to this site and the office will move there today Friday, December 15.

Although all the offices at Mylor Creek Boatyard will be closed, including reception, from Friday, a member of staff will be present at the yard at least once every day.

When completed, the new Mylor Creek HQ will help the company to compete for more global business, create more local jobs and increase our efficiency.

All the staff will work together in a single, solar-powered space to provide local new build and refit customers with a seamless service to superyacht industry standards but at a competitive price.

The company's phone number will remain unchanged as 01326 377 366 from Monday to Thursday from 8am until 5.30pm and on Friday from 8am until 5pm.
