The snow has already started to fall in Famouth with heavier falls predicted for around lunchtime and tomorrow as the Beast from the East weatherfront makes itself felt.
Snow showers are pushing into parts of south Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, with accumulations possible. It feels bitterly cold in strengthening easterly winds. Maximum temperature 2 °C.
Tonight will be very cold night with strong winds and increasing amounts of cloud. Staying largely dry but a few snow flurries possible. Minimum temperature -6 °C.
Tomorrow, Thursday, Storm Emma wil be bringing severe gales for many parts and some persistent snow on Thursday.
This could give blizzard conditions in the afternoon and a risk of freezing rain. Bitterly cold. Maximum temperature 2 °C.
The outlook for Friday to Sunday is staying windy on Friday with icy stretches possible and a risk of further snow or freezing rain for some. Less cold into the weekend with lighter winds and some rain.
