IT was a tough afternoon in Counties 1 Tribute Western West for the Eagles 1XV as they took on Paignton who sit in the middle of the table, writes Arthur Ducker. 

Falmouth played well in patches but ultimately came up short with only a stick of rock from their trip to the English Riviera.

Now with a week off, as they have a bye in the first round of the Cornwall Cup. The team will be looking to put on a positive display against St. Ives who sit in third at the Recreation Ground on November 4th Kick Off 14:30 in front of a home crowd.

This Saturday 28th sees the 2XV take on Camborne seconds in the first round of the Duchy Senior Cup KO 15:00. 

The Falmouth Clubhouse will be open this Friday, October 27, for Argentina versus England in the Rugby World Cup third-place play-off kicking off at 8pm, and also for the Final on Saturday between New Zealand and South Africa which also kicks off at 8pm.
