Rodda’s Creamery is pledging to triple its refillable milk stations across independent retailers in Cornwall, taking its existing 31 milk stations to 100.

Launched in 2019, the refillable milk stations proved extremely popular at places like Trevaskis Farm with a clear demand from locals and visitors alike for such an initiative.

The initiative gives south west businesses the opportunity to offer the refillable milk stations to customers and provide an alternative way to purchase local milk. Customers simply need to bring their own bottles or purchase traditional glass milk bottles and fill them either with a rich supply of semi-skimmed and whole-milk.

Nicholas Rodda, managing director of Rodda’s Creamery said: “We know our customers are looking for more sustainable options when it comes to buying milk and our pledge to triple the amount of our milk stations is designed to help provide that choice.

"We’re excited to be working with a number of south west businesses to bring the new venture to life. We are continually looking for ways in which we can support our local customers and this initiative provides an exciting platform to build on in the coming years.

“All whilst adding a sense of nostalgia to those who, like me, remember having milk from the bottle years ago. It is introducing a new generation to a new way of enjoying our Cornish milk.”

Rodda’s sources its milk from 47 farming families located within a 30-mile radius of the creamery in Scorrier.
