A tile supply company has expanded its business by taking over another firm just four years into trading.

Devoran-based tile and stone specialists Blackman Rowe seized the opportunity to take their business to the next stage and expand into the outdoor living sector after the previous owners of Bosbigal Landscape Supplies, Malcolm and Beverly Read, announced their retirement.

Trystam and Tamsyn Rowe launched Blackman Rowe in 2016 after decades of tile and flooring installations in high-end establishments such as the Hotel Tresanton, Imperial War Museum and Paul Ainsworth restaurants.

The recent takeover of Bosbigal means Trystram and Tamsyn can now grow the exterior tile side of their business, expanding into new markets and offering landscape designers, home owners and other trades tile products for the outdoors, ranging from Italian porcelain to premium quality natural stone.

With their investment the couple plan to expand Bosbigal’s product line, extending its landscape garden supplies with outdoor living accessories including fire pits, custom made water features, sustainable planters and bird feeders.

Trystam said: “We know business from the floor up, literally. Blackman Rowe was born out of passion and years of experience and to expand the business further with the acquisition of Bosbigal Landscape Supplies is enormously exciting and testament to the team’s hard work over the past four years.

"Our plans are to create a truly unique outdoor living experience with Bosbigal Landscape Supplies, building on the superb foundations laid by Malcolm and Beverly.

"The quality, location and feel of our new business match our vision for the future of our company and we’re really enjoying this next stage of our growth.”

Bosbigal and Blackman Rowe are both based on Devoran Industrial Estate.
