BREAGE: BREANEY CHAPEL: The open house meeting last week, had a first class evening with Gordon and Sarah Fuller, Rob Porter and Paul Combellack, who with fifth person Marc Geeson last month took on the Three Peak Challenge. Gordon, Rob and Marc were involved in the walking and climbing, with Sarah and Paul providing the driving and support necessary to complete the challenge - where they departed from Cornwall at 6pm on Thursday and returned at 2am on Sunday.

The presentation was prepared by Gordon, with photographs and humorous quips from the four of the team in the room, provided a good evening. The whole event was sponsored to raise funds for the Children's Hospice South West and towards window replacement at Breaney Chapel - with monies still to come in. Thank you folks for going, doing, then making it sound all so easy!

Sunday morning at Breaney the visiting preacher, Mike Trounson, brought with him wife Linda and their two sons. Most of the Sunday school children stayed upstairs for what really turned out to be a Family Service, only five of the youngest went down stairs with their 'minders'. The talk at the beginning was about peoples fears, which added up were quite a number. Fears of the unknown, often which never materialise.

Later in the service, darkness of the world and the light of the world - Jesus Christ became the obvious choice. Coffee Time later continued the family theme.

Mount's Bay Circuit plan indicated that there was to be a Fellowship Service at Breaney on Sunday evening. Stephanie Gordon was indeed the preacher, Paul Benney and Nigel Ferris read portions from the Holy Bible. Stephanie's chosen subject was the Letter to Philemon, New Testament.

The service involved the congregation with various responses and discussions.

Paul Jenkin was the organist at both services during the day.
