The entire team at Truro-based PR and social consultancy, Wild West Communications, is set to take part in the Sleep Out event at the Eden Project on Thursday night (November 9).

Eden will be one of a number of locations for the Sleep Out event taking place throughout the UK, with the aim of raising over £1,000,000 to support some of the thousands of people who experience homelessness in the UK every year.

Fifteen members of the Wild West team will be raising money for the St Petroc’s Society by spending the night under the stars, with nothing more than a sleeping bag and cardboard mat to keep each of them warm.

"Street homelessness in Cornwall is high," said Kate Wild, founder and managing director of Wild West Communications. "It’s about the fifth highest in the country and we can all do something to reduce this very unnecessary statistic."

"We’re sleeping out at Eden to raise both money and awareness for St Petroc’s. With negligible statutory provision to help the homeless, St Petroc's provides invaluable accommodation, support, training and resettlement for single homeless people."

Wild West hope to raise £2000 for St Petroc’s. You can donate at localgiving.org/fundraising/wildwestsleepout/ and keep up with their progress via their Twitter and Instagram pages: @WildWestComms.
