Cornwall Rugby Football Union (CRFU) is the Cornish branch of England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU) that controls rugby union football.

Truro Rugby Football Club (TRFC) had a very successful season last year. Having been promoted to Regional 2 Tribute South West, the team rose through the ranks to finish in third place.

Meanwhile, the club continued to promote its all-inclusive approach to the game, with support going to expanding the Ladies and Girls sectors, as well as for the Juniors and Minis.  Several of the Ladies 1st XV were chosen to represent Cornwall, and two of the club’s Colts were selected to play for the England South-West Under-20s team.

At the club, a significant building programme has seen six new changing rooms to accommodate the diversity of club players as well as a spectator stand, this being Phase 1 to bring the clubhouse to a new high standard for the years ahead.

This work received a sizeable grant from the Rugby Football Union in recognition of TRFC’s goal to become an all-embracing club for the people of Truro.

St Austell RFC also has had a tremendous season, rising to the very top of Regional 2 Tribute South West and will start next season in Regional 1.

The club also runs teams and training across all sectors.
