A rescue operation has been underway this lunchtime following reports of a man falling 20 feet down a cliff in West Cornwall.
The incident is believed to have taken place at Porthkidney Beach at Lelant, near St Ives.
St Ives RNLI confirmed that a lifeboat had been scrambled at 12.50pm, with the air ambulance also spotted landing on the sand.
A coastguard search and rescue team could be seen at the top of the cliffs.
It is understood that the man has now been recovered from the beach and airlifted away to hospital.
