The search for a missing man from Penzance has been called off after he was found "safe and well."

Devon and Cornwall Police announced in the last few minutes that they had "successfully found" missing person Adam Dickinson in Redruth.

Emergency services had been searching the coastline between Praa Sands and Marazion this lunchtime as part of the hunt to find him.

Both the inshore and all-weather Penlee lifeboats had been launched from Newlyn, just before 1.30pm, heading across Mounts Bay.

A search and rescue helicopter had also been spotted hovering overhead, in the Prussia Cove and Praa Sands area.
