Camborne and Redruth District Lions Club announced that they had raised over £10,000 for charity at an annual charter dinner celebrating their 42nd anniversary.

President Paul Bray said that he was very proud of the club’s achievements and would be very happy to welcome new members to help drive the club forward.

Paul gave a special thanks to the staff of Tehidy Golf Club and also to the lion toast master Steve Young who organised the event.

After a dinner and speeches, music was provided by Tehidy Golf Club’s resident DJ Bradley and club members had a dance.

Past district governor lion Lesley Clarke presented the zone quiz runner’s up cup to the Camborne and Redruth Lions which was a first for the team, although they came second to the Tavistock Club.
