Truro City forward Andy Watkins has revelead he will be staying at Treyew Road, despite interest from Bath City.

Watkins, who was rumoured to be in talks with the Somerset club this week, said he made his decision based on the belief that Truro's off-field problems will be resolved in the near future.

"I do intend to stay," he said. "I was in talks with Bath City and was close to signing, but have decided to stay at Truro. Just hoping everything can be sorted out with the new owners."

City ended a poor run of results with victory at home against Hornchurch on Saturday.

The club currently lie bottom of the Blue Square Bet Conference South, 10 points from safety.
