Helston Athletic kept up the pressure on league leaders Godolphin Atlantic with a 7-1 thrashing of Perranporth at Ponsmere Valley on Saturday.
The gap between the Blues and Godolphin remains 11 points after the Gs swept aside struggling Vospers Oak Villa 3-0 away from home. Victory for Helston means they go into Tuesday's Cornwall Senior Cup semi final against premier division Newquay at Treyew Road in a rich vein of form, having scored 18 goals in their last two outings.
Meanwhile Penryn Athletic drew 2-2 away at Callginton thanks to goals from Gregg Hobbs and Ben Oliver. The win keeps Penryn in fourth spot two points above Sticker, who put five past bottom club Foxhole Stars.
it was a less successful afternoon for Dennis Annear's Porthleven, who were beaten comfortably 4-0 away at Dobwalls
Division on west results were as follows:
Callington Town 2 - 2 Penryn Athletic
Dobwalls 4 - 0 Porthleven
Foxhole Stars 1 - 5 Sticker
Perranporth 1 - 7 Helston Athletic
St Dennis 8 - 1 Holsworthy
