The popular ETS Cup attracted a good entry at Budock Vean Golf Club on Sunday, writes Keith Rashleigh.
Played in teams of three with highest combined aggregate scores winning, the steady and determined triumvirate of David Allen (39 points), Rod Butler (37 points) and Charlie Averiss (36 points) recorded a winning total of 112 points to win by 3 points from Keith Whitbread (39), Geoff Mills (37) and David Townsend ( 33 ).
Third prize went to the team of Keith Rashleigh (40), Paul Upperton (34) and David Tippett (31), for an aggregate of 105 points.
Chris Mason couldn’t stop smiling in the clubhouse as he claimed the only "back nine" two of the day. His brilliantly executed chip in from off the 18th green won him £51.
This Sunday is the prestigious David Sadler Memorial Trophy. The trophy will presented at 6pm by Richard Sadler, who played professionally on the USGA Tour having started his golf at Budock Vean alongside brothers Peter and Mickey and their respective families.
