Falmouth Town were well beaten by Elburton Villa on Saturday, losing 5-1 at Haye Road.

Elburton leapfrog Plymouth Parkway into second place at the top of the Peninsula League's premier division.

Defeat leaves Town 17th in the table, 11 points adrift of Bovey Tracey in 16th place. Town's next game is also against Elburton Villa, this time at Bickland Park on Saturday, May 4.

League champions Bodmin Town made it a day to remember at Priory Park after they registered a record-breaking 13-0 win over mid table Liverton United, on the same day they picked up the permier division trophy.

The victory was marred, however, by an injury to player manager Darren Gilbert.

On as a second half substitute, Gilbert was stretchered off the field with a suspected dislocated knee cap.
