ADULT and youth football teams showed a mark of respect last weekend as part of a national remembrance day.
The Football Association organised the Football Remembers campaign to commemorate the famous truce match played 100-years-ago this year on Christmas Day between British and German troops fighting in the First World War.
Teams were asked to get pictures taken together pre-game and among the clubs to take part were Helston Athletic and Penryn Athletic who took a photograph ahead of their Cornwall Senior Cup clash at Kellaway Park on Saturday.
Also getting involved were Wendron Reds Under 14s who joined with their opponents to get in a picture together.
The Reds went onto win the game 6-1.
