The Cornwall Cricket League (CCL) will permit the rearrangement of matches this Saturday in a bid to avoid a clash with England’s potential World Cup quarter-final on the same day.
England face Colombia in the last 16 tomorrow night, and if they win they would face either Sweden or Switzerland on Saturday with kick-off at 3pm UK time, when 68 CCL matches are due to take place.
No changes are permitted to the Premier League, which will go ahead at 1pm as normal.
County Division 1 matches must be played on the day and the full 50 overs per side as per the rules. However for this day only clubs may start from 11am and the tea interval can be as long as clubs wish, and taken whenever agreed.
There 'might' be a certain game of football at 3pm next Sat - If so CCL rules permit (outside of Premier) early starts, reduced overs and reschedules (Divs 4-7 only). Additionally next week - flexible length of intervals - CCL Statement at https://t.co/xpzo4xVIC8 #getthegameon pic.twitter.com/sQ54g7Zhzm

Starts are already allowed from 11am for Division 2 and below and overs can be reduced to a minimum of 20 a side. Again the tea interval can be as long as clubs wish, and taken whenever agreed.
The League will also allow teams in Tier 3 (Division 4 and below) to reschedule games for another date, if clubs mutually agree, with the usual 14 days requirement waived on this occasion.
However, the new date must be emailed to the league no later than 10pm on Thursday evening.
In the event of any disputes the original fixture stands.
