Hayle Runners had a ten strong team at the final race in the Cornwall Multi Terrain Grand Prix competition which was held within the stunning grounds of the Boconnoc House estate near Lostwithiel.

Runners in the five-mile race ran along an undulating course taking steep hills and fields in their stride, before the final finishing straight along estate lanes led them to the finish line near the stable block.

Rich Savage led the Hayle team home taking first place in his 50-54 age group, finishing off a great season of multi terrain running in which he won his age category for the season.

Rich also led a clean sweep of the mens 50-54 age category by Hayle Runners with Will Luckhurst taking second place and Tim Twigg in third.

Tim’s result also confirm his third place in the season’s rankings.

Faye Savage continued the family tradition by being first female home for Hayle, taking second place in her 40-44 age group at the race.

This was more than enough to secure her first place in the seasons ranking following a series of great performances throughout the year.
