Hayle runners were out in force for the summer staging of the biannual Turkey Trot last week.

The race around Illogan and Pool has a reputation for attracting some of Cornwall's fastest runners, as well as those who are building up their experience and mileage. At four miles long it is the shortest of the annual Grand Prix calendar.

Hayle Runners took a team of 55 runners and had a great night with a host of personal bests and age category prizes.

Jordan Morant lead the team home into fourth place overall, and was supported by Steve Wherry, Scott Abraham, Steve Fuller, Nick Costello and Paul Warmington.
