Wendron United 3, Plymouth Marjon 0

Wendron picked up their fifth successive win on Saturday as they beat Plymouth Marjon in their SWPL Division 1 West encounter at Underlane.

TJ Walter, Rory Jarvis and Yeshe Briar scored the goals to lift Dron up to tenth in the table.

Marjon were quicker out of the blocks but struggled to make their long ball game work in the wind of Storm Callum.

Wendron settled and took the lead on 25 minutes with a lovely team goal, as Reece Carroll teed up Cameron Wheat to cross to Walter who volleyed home.

Dron gained confidence from the goal but could not translate it into goals until 20 minutes to go when substitute Briar played in Jarvis who beat the last defender, rounded he goalkeeper and poked the ball in.

The hosts made absolutely sure of the point with ten minutes left when Briar tapped in Max Bowden’s delivery from close range.
