DESPITE the adverse weekend weather very few matches were called off in the Trelawny Football League.

With Penryn Athletic Reserves game one of those affected, Penwith Exiles took full advantage to extend their lead at the top of the premier division with a narrow 4-3 win at Halsetown.

Camborne SoM edged out Mousehole Reserves 2-1 and despite losing 1-0 at Holmans, Stithians picked up all three points after it emerged Holmans played an ineligible player.

In division one RNAS Culdrose went down 2-1 at home to Newlyn Non-Athletico after scoring through Owen Fairclough while Wendron III beat Hayle III 1-0.

Illogan III led Falmouth DC 3-0 at the break in division two, but despite Nathan Angove and Dillan Peglau netting the home side fell just short.

Ruan Minor were held to a 3-3 draw at Ludgvan Reserves, but Mullion Reserves pulled off a superb 4-1 win at home to leaders Frogpool/Cusgarne after scoring through Neil Rollinson (2), Ross Atkinson and Alex Cook. Craig Rothwell scored for ’Pool.

Rosudgeon Reserves pulled off a terrific 6-2 win over division three leaders Perranwell Reserves with goals from Jevon Pryce (2), Shane Holland, Daniel Hopkins, Chris Neale, and Tom Stephan. Kian Rowland had both Perran goals.

Lizard Argyle Reserves picked up a useful 3-1 win at Goonhavern Reserves in division four and Falmouth United proved too good for Constantine Reserves after winning 3-0 with goals from Jack Blakeston, Freddie Christophers and Declan White.

In the Percy Stephens Cup Mawnan made heavy weather of defeating Probus 2-1 after scoring through Jago Taylor and Dominic Pullen. Sam Bullen replied for Probus. St Keverne bowed out 3-0 at St Buryan.

Mawnan Reserves caused an upset in the League Cup when they defeated high-flying Threemilestone 1-0 with a goal from Oliver Growcott-Smith, but in the Russell Hall Cup Wendron United crashed out 6-1 at Penzance Reserves where Tom Orchard scored their goal.
