Falmouth Town maintained their lead at the top of the Combination League with a 6-1 win at home to Lizard Argyle on Saturday.

Rhys Allen, Oscar Fergus-Gay and Jack Pledger netted while Gavin Perraton’s hat-trick sent him to the top of the scoring charts with 22 goals in all competitions.

Player-manager Craig Pollard scored Argyle’s consolation.

Jamie Thirkle scored a hat-trick as Helston Athletic saw off Penryn Athletic in an entertaining derby at Kellaway Park.

Jake Shaw put Penryn in front early on before Thirkle levelled minutes later. Bradley Leivers restored the visitors' lead by 17 minutes with Thirkle equalising again seven minutes before the break.

Fraser Patterson put the Blues in front shortly before half-time before Thirkle completed his hat-trick one minute into the second half, with Josh Sharpe halving the deficit in the 90th minute.

Perranwell picked up their seventh straight win with a superb 2-1 victory at third-placed St Day.

Jim Wilsher and Joe Ibbs-George put the Well two up at the break before Gavin Boon pulled one back later on.

Hayle strengthened their grip on their top-six spot with a 2-0 win at Redruth United.

Both of Hayle’s goals came early on, with Kane Williams opening the scoring before Nick Barber’s wind-assisted 45-yard effort wrapped up the win.

Porthleven’s struggles continued with a 13-0 defeat at home to Perranporth.

The visitors enjoyed a healthy four-goal half-time lead, but proceeded to score another nine after the break.

Justin Searle and Luke Wort scored four each with Ross Sommerville, George Parks, Lee Denton, Mike Brewer and Jowan Kitchener also netting.

Josh Otto scored a debut hat-trick at St Ives beat Mullion 5-0, with Josh Magin scoring the other two.

Otto gave the hosts a one-goal lead at the break before sealing his hat-trick early in the second half. Magin made it four with 20 minutes to go before netting again in the final few minutes.

Not to be outdone, Ed Wilton scored four goals on his own debut as RNAS Culdrose lost 7-0 at St Agnes.

Mark Bell bagged a hat-trick of his own to complete the scoring.

West Cornwall and Pendeen Rovers are out of the Cornwall Senior Cup after losing 6-0 at Polperro and 4-2 at home to Wadebridge Town respectively.
