Penryn Athletic’s Trelawny Football League premier division title hopes suffered a setback on Saturday when they crashed to a heavy 6-1 defeat at Mawnan.

Leading 4-1 at the break with goals from Dominic Pullen (2) Greg Hobbs and Adam Keenan, Mawnan added second half goals through Keenan and a Adam Pryor penalty. Steve Owen scored Athletic’s consolation goal.
