FALMOUTH Town assistant manager James Miller believes his side's Cornwall Senior Cup progression on Saturday will keep their season alive.

A poor run of results in December has seen Town fall off the pace in the South West Peninsula League Premier, but Saturday's cup victory at home to Polperro means they are in the quarter-finals of both the Senior Cup and the Walter C Parson League Cup.

Town avoided a giant-killing at the hands of Polperro to seal their place in the Senior Cup quarter-finals at Bickland Park on Saturday.

Marcello Jones and Luke Brabyn scored late in the first half before Tim Nixon added a third midway through the second period as Town saw off their East Cornwall Premier League opponents.
